I’ve been perfecting chocolate chip cookies since I was eight years old, standing on a chair in my grandmother’s kitchen. This version — with the crispy edges and gooey centers — is the result of about twenty years of tweaking. My grandmother would add a pinch of something secret she’d never reveal. I like to think I finally figured it out.

These rich, fudgy double chocolate cookies are loaded with chocolate chips in every bite. Chewy centers, crispy edges, and ready in under 25 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs.

2. Mix in flour and cocoa. Fold in chocolate chips.

3. Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Cool before serving.

I love how the flavors develop in this double chocolate chip cookies. Each bite is a little different and it just keeps getting better.

Double chocolate chip cookies that are chewy in the middle and crispy on the edges. Batch lasted exactly one evening.
