No one believes me when I say this mousse is made with avocado. The texture is impossibly silky, the chocolate flavor is deep and rich, and there is zero dairy. It is my secret weapon dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup coconut cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Coconut whipped cream and berries for serving

Instructions

  1. Blend: Add all ingredients to food processor. Blend until completely smooth, scraping down sides.
  2. Chill: Divide into serving glasses. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  3. Serve: Top with coconut whipped cream and fresh berries.

Tips

  • Use very ripe avocados for smoothest texture.
  • Tastes even better the next day.

Really creamy and rich — you genuinely cannot taste the avocado, which blew my mind. I added a tiny pinch of espresso powder and it took the chocolate flavor to another level. Only thing is I wish it set up a bit firmer, but the taste is incredible.

Chocolate mousse made from avocado is honestly witchcraft. So rich and no one guessed the secret ingredient.

Okay I was NOT expecting chocolate avocado mousse to taste this good. You literally cannot taste the avocado at all. My kids had no idea it was healthy. Sneaky and delicious!
